Meeting 1: February 1^st, 2007 – Clubs Room @ 6pm inside Student Centre

Meeting 2: February 8^th, 2007 – UA2220 @ 6pm

Upcoming Events

February 10, 2007 – International Leadership Conference @ U of T Sanford Fleming Building. Register online for FREE. Attend to find out about NSBE and meet and greet the NSBE leadership. Food will be provided.

February 24^th to March 4^th - National Engineering Week. NSBE UOIT is looking to conduct an activity in regards to National Engineering week, and perhaps as well as Black History Month. Any Ideas?

March 28^th to April 1^st – NSBE National Convention, Columbus Ohio. This is the largest event of its kind in the world. Activities include, Job Career Fair (for graduating and co-op/internship students), Workshops (Academic, Professional, Social, Religious and Business related), Guest speakers, Networking events, as well as various social activities. This event lasts 5 days.

Costs are the following:

· Registration: $135 US (After Feb $16^th it raises to $195 US)

· Transportation: ~$100 CD (Due March 7^th)

· Accommodations: $160 CD (Due March 7^th)

Other news:

NSBE UOIT has received full support from the UOIT Faculty of Engineering. Dr Rosen wishes to see NSBE grow at UOIT and is in full support of our mission.
We need ideas for an activity for National Engineering Week. Please let us know any thoughts!

NSBE UOIT has the opportunity to be a full NSBE Chapter, once we find 5 returning officers to take up leadership positions for the upcoming 2007-2008 school year and 10 students in total. We can get this done before March for those of attending the National Convention, we can represent UOIT!
